Details
That change caused some issues (bugs 1336431 and 1340124) that seem worse than the original problem, and should be IMO addressed in trunk without impacting the release branches.

Bug 1340124 might be not serious as we think. Let's continue checking it. I would expect we could make it clearer within these 2 days and then decide if we should back out/disable it or not.
