From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 Galeon/1.2.0 (X11; Linux i686; U;) Gecko/20020313 BuildID: 0.9.9 / debian build When editing very long pages on wikipedia.com it is sometimes impossible to submit the edited page. When one hits the Save or Preview button, the browser just sits there. The submit never finishes. It doesn't look like it sends the text. The page mentioned above is a 20k text. It happens in Mozilla 0.9.9/debian and in Galeon 1.2 (embeds the same). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://www.wikipedia.com/wiki/Wikipedia:Bug_reports&action=edit 2. Make some change 3. Hit "Preview" and watch it stall. Actual Results: Nothing. Expected Results: The preview page, i.e., the same form with a preview of the text below. I have only seen it on wikipedia.
Just so we don't have people trashing the wikipedia's bug reports page with tests, here's a duplicate of another edit page from the site that shows the same behavior: http://leuksman.com/misc/submitproblem.php If the form submission is successful (as it is with, e.g., Konqueror 2.9.2), it just prints out the received text. If not, you'll see it sit there and wait... I'll try to cut it down to a minimal test case as well.
