The only way to copy the response it is instead in the LEFT sub-window right click on the item and pick Copy Response there.
And one cannot just copy part of then too.
WFM in Fx52b8 with Google Maps and the error on Win10.
Furthermore, if the response is all on one line that extends off the screen, there is little hope in seeing that part that extends off the screen.

Looks like a regression when we move from xul to html.

I have the impression this is no longer relevant.

STR for 57.0a1 (2017-09-14) (64-bit), on Ubuntu 17.04
* open devtools
* visit google maps and do some clicks here and there
* in the Network panel, pick an XHR request of type JSON, that shows a "SyntaxError: JSON.parse"
* with the mouse select a part of the JSON
* with keyboard Ctrl-C
* with keyboard Ctrl-V somewhere (a text editor)

The highlighted text gets copied and pasted as expected.

I can confirm, this is working for me too (tested on Ubuntu 16.0.4 and Win10)

Thanks!
