From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020311 BuildID: 2002031104 This page causes Mozilla to instantly hang before even showing any content. Windows also hangs, and the window still shows after crashing. If I try to kill Mozilla with Ctrl-Alt-Del, the tasklist doesn't show Mozilla's name. A few seconds later Windows tells me that an nameless application isn't responding, followed by similar notifications from other apps. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.GO http://www.peliportti.net/pelit/palvelimet.cgi#ofp 2.crash
wfm using build 2002032803 on Win2k. Can you try with latest nightly build: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest/mozilla-win32-talkback.zip ?
Keywords: crash, stackwanted
Cannot reproduce it ! Weird ! :-) Using 2002032803 under WinXP.
Crashed for me using build 2002032708 on Win98SE. This appears to be the same problem thats occuring in Bug #131446 and Bug #131572. Does your computer happen to be an Athlon? Talkback doesn't pop up for this crash, so is there anything else we can do that would get you the information needed to track down the cause of this crash?
wfm build 2002032803 win98se CPU Intel Pentium III 700Mhz 128MB RAM I've tried to reload it several times, even while downloading the page, but nothing happened.
Also WFM, Dell p990 (pentium 3) Win98 SE, no crash, all fine.
Joshua and Anttu, do you still crash with a new profile 'mozilla -profilemanager', just to be sure.
I could not duplicate the problem on windows 2000 or windows ME. I did notice however that on windows ME the activity bar across the bottom would never fully finish loading but everything on the page was accessable. I was using build 2002032708.

mmm, once again wfm build 2002032803 win98se and I add that yes sometimes it happened that the status bar kept showing "Transferring data..." when everything on the page was accessible, but sometimes it completed the download of all elements too.
I still crash with a new profile. I think this and the other bugs I mentioned are probably all duplicates of Bug #128961.

Please use a talkback build, crash to trigger talkback, then report the incident ID here?
I tested on another machine (Pentium 3), and it doesn't crash. My own computer is Athlon 1GHz, and it crashes every time. Can't do more testing with it until thursday. I can't also give you any talkback id, because the whole windows crashes, and talkback application doesn't start.
More testing with my Athlon 1GHz and build 2002040303. Dr Watson's log is in the attachements now. When I try to reboot after crashing Windows says that these applications are not responsive: <no name> <no name> <no name> <no name> Mozilla <no name> <no name> <no name> NetscapeDispatchWnd DDE Server Window <no name> <no name> <no name> XPCOM: EventReceiver I hope this helps a bit.
None of my machines crash on this page. I wonder if your machine is hosed somehow, or your Windows installation? Sorry to suggest that, but I'm not sure what else it could be - normally an app cannot bring down windows (pretty niave statement, eh?).
My machine is otherwise working just fine, this is almost the only crash I have had for weeks. Since other people are having this problem too, I bet it's Mozilla. This could be something related to fast AMD processors. That Dr Watson report says that it's a division error (also mentioned in similar bugs). Maybe there's a processor bug?
I'm not crashing with today's win2k debug build on an amd 1.4 mhz processor.
I'm not crashing with 2002040203 WinXP build on an AMD 750 mhz processor.
No crashes with Netscape 6.2.1
Cannot reproduce with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:0.9.9)
WFM. Does not crash on 2002041503 build. WIN2K

Still crashing with 1.0 RC1.
Same situation also with me (Moz 1.0RC1/Win98/Duron900). Quite annoying bug.
Maybe this is a fast AMD-processor + big amount of RAM bug as suggested in bug 131446? I have AMD 1GHz and 384MB of RAM. And should this bug be reopened?
I think that it should, otherwise it might not be noticed. Can you do that (since I can't)?
Reopening bug, because there are still crashes.

Upgraded to Win2000. There are no more crashing. This might be Win9x only bug. Or maybe windows' register got corrupted or something...
Worksforme 1.0 RC1 branch Build ID: 2002042906 Windows 98SE, AMD K6-2 383Mhz. Can anyone with an Athlon system confirm this bug?

Is everyone crashing here using Win9x AND an nvidia card? If so, this is a dup of bug 128961. Please let me know so we can mark it as such.
I think it's a duplicate (still dwait for others to say if they have nvidia cards) because when I have hardware acceleration lowered the page won't crash (when with full hardware acceleration it will) so it pretty much behaves like bug #128961 does. Still wait for the posters here to say if they have nVidia cards or not.
Yup, I have also nVidia-based card and Win98. Better to mark this one as a duplicate.
I had Nvidia Geforce2 too, when I was crashing.
Duping based on reporter's comments. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 128961 ***
