@rail noticed this the other day. I'm not sure if it's used but this makes me anxious: https://dxr.mozilla.org/build-central/search?q=platform_objdir+path%3Arelease&redirect=false
Better to be explicit and match mozharness configs anyway now that 53 is on beta.
probably should do it again for m-r
