From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020311 BuildID: 2002031104 The properties window for a bookmark is not modal. This allows you to do funny (annoying) things like: * open other property windows for other bookmarks; * drag and drop with parent window as source; Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Bring up "Manage bookmarks" dialog; 2. Select a a bookmark and open its properties; 3. Drag and drop a bookmark from parent window into the name field on "Info" tab; Expected Results: Bookmark properties window should have been modal.
Changing severity to enhancement. I think this is a WONTFIX: being able to compare two bookmarks is a valuable feature, so is being able to select a long url and drag it into a bookmark properties. IE's favorites properties are not modal either.
Severity: normal → enhancement
Summary: Bookmark's property window should be modal → [RFE] Bookmark's property window should be modal
See also bug 59127, Bookmark properties window can be opened several times for a bookmark. I suggested the same solution in bug 59127 comment 3.
This might be slightly different from bug 59127, but I imagine that if that bug is fixed along the lines of comment #13, this becomes wontfix. marking as dupe. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 59127 ***
