Sometimes articles diff/source display "blank" areas like these: https://support.mozilla.org/t5/tkb/articlehistorypage/message-revision/2858:1
+NI from Madalina for handling & prioritization. Thank you for filing this. My guess is that this is caused by the HTML code for images? Regardless of the cause, there should not be such gaps in the "Compare revisions" view, so I agree that this is a legitimate issue that should be addressed at the source (in the code of the feature?).
