Here's an example. I have 'thesaurus:' keyword for a search at thesaurus.net, if I type 'thesa' then 'thesaurus.net' is shown, 'thesarus:' keyword is never shown.
It'd be great as autocomplete feature for faster typing if the user prefers descriptive search keywords over abbreviations. It may be also good for search keywords discoverability, if all keywords are prefixed the same, for example '?thesaurus' or '?weather'.
Search keywords should be part of awesome bar suggestions list.

For search engine keywords it's now possible to start typing the keyword with an @, so @thesa would autofill and suggest @thesaurus.
For bookmark keywords that doesn't happen yet, but there's plan to convert those to custom search urls in bug 1653261.
