I can reproduce everytime under MacOS 8.6 with the following steps:

1) Open a new browser window
2) Open a new tab
3) Immediatly go to Bookmarks menu and select any bookmark

Result: Moz crashes.

Forget the bookmarks menu. Any menu selection causes crash after a new tab is
opened. Set blocker.

Setting to Critical. This is not a blocker as Mozilla can still be tested with
this bug.

New Tab + Bookmark/History entry from the sidebar also causes crash. If a new
tab is added when 2 tabs are alreay open, it seems to be WFM. Only the personal
toolbar and direct URL/URL Bar work. With bookmarks list in the PT or 3 tabs
it's usable... but still..

I'm experiencing behaivior similar to this. Mozilla has been crashing when I:

A - Open a new tab, and switch to a previous tab before the new tab has loaded.
B - Close a tab and attempt to return to the previous tab. 
C - Click on a link in a tab while another is loading. 

It has been crashing in various places, and I haven't locked down the exact
circumstances surrounding the crashes. (TalkBack seems to be non-functional.)

I often use "shift+ctrl+click" to open in a new _background_ tab and this seems
to create the same steps. Windows 98 trunk build 2002040310

BTW "Hide the tab bar when..." isn't checked in my profil prefs (the tab
interface is always visible). I also notice that when I open/close a new Tab the
tab interface jiggles. That wasn't the case before.
