-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 This is regarding Mozilla 0.9.9 2002031104 using Windows NT 4.0 SP6a, with full post SP6a fixes/HotFixes applied. If one selectes a "part" of the URL address in the URL bar, and then tries to either copy, paste or cut from the URL bar via the mouse right click the entire URL text is reselected as a result of the right mouse button click. Therefore one cannot copy, paste or cut a subset of the URL. If one uses the keyboard (i.e. ctrl-c, ctrl-v) to copy and paste text about, in or out of the URL bar, that works as expected. Hence the right mouse click functionality is at issue. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 6.5.8 for non-commercial use <http://www.pgp.com> Comment: . iQA/AwUBPKjtwvLzhJbmoDZ+EQIvlQCeNVpI7cUGNsaA+V6oqFaB/K3o4esAoPcy fdETFZ86xgJ0bRpK7zUiPDE+ =kBi2 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
Also having the same problem in win98
this sounds like a duplicate bug to me... do you need to be in urlbar or can you see same problem with selection in the content area of a browser window (select some text on a page and then right click to copy/paste)?

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 brade@netscape.com, Based on my current and constant use of Mozilla 0.9.9-2002031104 the problem I described is strictly related to the Location/Address/URL bar. There are otehr cut and paste issues I have since discovered, but they are quite different in nature and are clearly seperate issues. I have not had chance to search the bugs yet to see if there are bugs open on the other issues, but I suspect there are alreay open bugs. bugzilla@bkor.dhs.org, Yes I would say it is a duplicate bug, except for one small detail. The current bug system configuration does not allow one to group Windows bugs together nor has it been confirmed that the bug exists in the other Windows OS's. Hence this bug would need to stand as open unless of course it is determined the issue goes beyond the the "Windows" OS family to all platforms. I have reviewed all the "duplicate" bug entries and I find so far no bugs reported for Windows ME, Windows 95, Windows 3.51 and Windows 3.1, and I found one bug reported for Mac. Hard call at moment, but I suggest the "base" bug be changed to "Platform" of "All" and "OS" of "All" to force retesting of all platforms once this bug is corrected. If you are agreeable to to the suggestion for "Platform" and "OS" then I be quite agreeable to have this bug closed as a duplicate of the "base" bug so changed to reflect the suggestion. Log "Status" changed from "Resolved" to "Open". -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 6.5.8 for non-commercial use <http://www.pgp.com> Comment: . iQA/AwUBPKqC9PLzhJbmoDZ+EQIRcgCg9VDqZ+9hNZmpq8k4lgE3nfFHN1EAn3P6 nIoBqvQbV1mB2MKWOMzSVPN3 =+Fye -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
