I have a problem with Firefox Beta 53. It also happens in Nightly 55. Doesn't happen in Beta 52.
Sometimes audio indicator disappears in tab. Here's how to reproduce it:
1. Open this video, click on preferences button inside the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGqhhx8cxMg
2. In less than 3 seconds press K, then Ctrl+M, then K, then Ctrl+M
Result: The tab doesn't display audio indicator.
Expected: The tab should display audio indicator.

Why is this bug not a dupe of bug 1346872?

Bug 1346872 is about Web Audio, and this is about <video> element. I observe different set of buggy behavior (Web Audio compared to <video>). I'll check both of them once Bug 1346872 is fixed. Will see.

This bug has the same regression range as bug 1346872 which is a regression og bug 1192818.
So it's probably the same underlying issue and a duplicate of bug 1346872.

I'm using Nightly 2017-04-01, and Bug 1346872 is fixed, while this bug isn't fixed.

Likely to be fixed in beta 10 by backing out bug 1192818 from beta. (It will stay on 54)

Should be fixed on Beta by the backout of bug 1192818.

Are we planning on pushing for a fix in 54, then? This doesn't seem like a great regression to have.

Alastor, can you take a look here? I'm not sure if this should be your bug or someone else's. but it may still be broken in 54.

Now I can't reproduce this issue on FF55, I'll test in on FF54 later (still compiling)

I can't reproduce this issue on FF54 as well, need QA's verification.

Looks like whatever got disabled in bug 1192818 for 54 (and fixed in 55) resolved the issue. Thanks for checking!
