I would like to see the opportunity to create a filter based upon the components of a message (Subject, To, etc) when the message is highlighted by right clicking on that message, similar to Kmail's filter creation systems.

this sounds reasonable ... maybe you could have a submenu called "Create Filter" which would let you select what to create the filter based on.. UI people might not be too pleased on adding more stuff to the context menu. (Especially after the recent landing of the new context menus)
