"Firefox Screenshots" (previously “Page Shot”), is an experiment currently running in Test Pilot that will ship in Firefox as a system add-on.
The scope of this bug is to document the decision about localizing the name “Firefox Screenshots” in our localized builds.
There are 3 available options:
1) Do not allow translation/transliteration
2) Allow only transliteration
3) Allow translation/transliteration

We ran a survey with localizers for about a week.
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/mozilla.dev.l10n/-glk6A5MfnM/K94BPXQMBAAJ
The main goal was to understand if “Firefox Screenshots” can be a successful name in non-English cultures, if the name clearly hints to the feature itself, and get a glimpse on how the feature could be translated.
We got 45 answers, with a good coverage in terms of languages.
Cleaned up list of locales: ar, az, cs, da, dsb, hsb, eo, es-AR, et, fi, fr, fy-NL, gd, he, id, it, kab, lt, ms, my, nl, pl, pt-BR, rm, ru, sr, sk, sq, sv-SE, tr, uk, uz, zh-CN, zh-TW.
Relevant points:
* Most people consider the name intuitive and potentially successful. About 2/3 think that “Firefox Screenshots” would be understood if kept in English.
* We have a bit of a split result on the question "Do you want to translate/transliterate it?". Still, the 46,7% for "keep it in English" is higher than I expected. I think the 6% for other is somehow related to some of the following answers, e.g. "I prefer the old name"

Final decision:
* Will not translate “Firefox Screenshots” where it appears in title cards/headers/main screens.
* Will translate “screenshots” normally if it appears in content areas in the add-on or website.
