OS: BackBox Linux 64bit (Based on Ubuntu 14.04)
Nighlty version: 55.0a1 (2017-04-11) (64-bit)

In my Nightly Preferences, Cookie option Keep untill I close Nightly is enabled but when I close Nightly, and later start it again, cookies aren't deleted.

I noticed this bug because every time I open Firefox after closing, I have to again log in to every website I used to be logged in before closing, but now, Nightly automatically log me in because cookies are still there.

I reproduced bug successfully with new profile and in Ubuntu 16.04 Virtual Machine, but not on regular Firefox too.

Steps to reproduce:

1. In Privacy options set Accept third-party cookies to "Never" and Keep until to "I close Nightly"
2. Open a couple of websites (Facebook, Twitter, Wikipedia, etc.) and log into some of them
3. Close Nightly and then open it again.

Expected results:

Cookies should be deleted and you've should been logged out of the websites

Actual results:

Cookies are still there and you are still logged in on websites.
OS: Windows 10 Pro 1607 64Bit
Nighlty version: Nightly 55.0a1 (2017-04-17) (64 bit)

I've a similar issue.

After some test, it seems to be connected to pinned tab.
With at least one pinned tab, Nightly does not delete cookies.
If you have No pinned tab, cookies gone away

Steps to reproduce:

1. In Privacy options set Accept third-party cookies to "visited only" (not sure what is the english version) and Keep until to "I close Nightly"
2. Open a couple of websites (Facebook, Twitter, Wikipedia, etc.) and log into some of them
3. Pin at least on tab
4. Close Nightly and then open it again.

Expected results:

Cookies should be deleted and you've should been logged out of the websites

Actual results:

Cookies are still there and you are still logged in on all websites not only the one in pinned tab.
Still the same. Some of them are still there, but when I Restore all tabs all cookies are back, while they should be deleted.
Definitely not Preferences, not sure if it should be in a Core component. Moving back to untriaged for now to find it a better home.

If confirmed priority seems all but low.

I have tested this issue on Windows 10 x64 and managed to reproduce it using the Nightly(55.0a1-20170417030204) specified in comment 1.
If the "Accept third-party cookies" is set to "From visited" and "Keep until:" set to "I close Nightly", if you are logged to Twitter or other website, when closing and re-opening Nightly again you are still logged in to that website.

On the latest Nightly(55.0a1-20170417030204), the issue is no longer reproducible.

Remy, can you please retest this using the latest Nightly build and confirm this?

Thank you.

I've tested with Nightly 55.0a1 (2017-04-26) (64 bit) and the cookies are not deleted.
With Nightly 55.0a1 (2017-04-27) (64 bit) and the cookies are deleted even if they are related to a pinned tab.

Maybe you need the reporter confirm also.

Marko, can you please re-test this using the latest Nightly build and see if the issue is still reproducible on your end?

Thank you.

with the latest nightly build this function works-for-me as intended
Build ID: 20170428100438

I can not reproduce it, so everythings works now, it's fixed. Thanks.
