Not blocker, just a bit ugly as it takes the color of the webpage (blue with fb for example)

Sylvestre, my eyes might not be picking it up in the screenshot. Where exactly is the color being picked up from the web page? The blue in the button?

Besides the box drawn around the ui and the differences between Mac and Linux I don't see any significant differences.

Just tried to reproduce with Debian (Jessie) and running awesome WM without being able to reproduce. I'm at a loss on how to reproduce this but at least it doesn't seem to be prevalent.

Very unlikely that this will get fixed in app update since it is a widget bug in code outside of app update so changing component.
