I am the creator of the Firefox about:about Button[1] WebExtension which provides shortcuts to open known about: pages.
The way the WebExtension Tabs API is currently written, there is no way to open privileged about: pages.
I request that an API is written to open privileged about: pages without compromising user security, so that my extension can open those pages when the user presses the appropriate button.
