User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0
Build ID: 20170414100243
Steps to reproduce:
Test Case: 1
* Open firefox and search something(e.g: "Test 1") using the search box (not the url bar)
* Open a new tab
Test Case: 2
* Follow, steps from Test Case 1 and then
* Search something else(e.g: "Test 2") from search box in the new tab
* Go back to previous tab
Actual results:
Test Case 1: Shows same text in the search box of the new tab ("Test 1")
Test Case 2: In previous tab, text in search box changed to the one you searched in the new tab. ("Test 2")
Expected results:
Test Case 1: Search box should be blank
Test Case 2: Text in the search box should have remained as it was before("Test 1")

Hello and thanks for the report!
Following the STR from comment 0, I was able to reproduce the issue on Windows 10 x64, Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and MAC OS X.
This is not a regression since this behaviour is also reproducible on an old Minefield build (version 4.0b9pre).
