steps: download a mozilla nightly, using your favorite file management tool,
move the file. (I used winzip). Open the download manager and select the
download record. you'll start getting js errors in the js console.

in the js console, clear the view.
switch back to download manager.
switch back to js console.

what you see:
2 errors like the one at the top of this bug

what has happened:
at least 2 stats of this file were attempted

what should not happen:
two file stats just because the download manager gains.
unhandled exceptions :-)
