I love the container tabs, but it would be nice if I could open a "container window" where the default is to open tabs in that window in a container instead of the default. For example, I have a window where I have a bunch of work container tabs. It would be awesome if I could Cmd-T in that window and have a new work container tab open - I often end up doing this when I want to search bugzilla or something, and end up in a non-logged-in tab, as my bugzilla cookie lives in the work container. It's not so fun to have to hover over the new tab button to get a new work tab.
Jonathan, is this something that's being considered? (Is there a better place for these bugs than Fx General/Tabbrowser?)

This is something that a webextension can do. Currently in test-pilot we have implemented the moving of tabs in separate windows based on containers: this means that if you are using multiple container tabs, for each container type we open a window and we move those tabs.

Normally we throw this into Firefox::security, but I don't really think that is better. Making one super huge dependent bug isn't much better either.

Perhaps it is time for a component of our own?

As Baku mentions, it would be possible to make a window with any container default to opening those somewhat trivially with the APIs in a WebExtension.
This has also been mentioned a lot, I suspect there is a duplicate bug somewhere (github or bugzilla).
Container Windows would be nice, yeah... Just as Multifox used to be...
