User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:54.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/54.0 Build ID: 20170419004020 Steps to reproduce: Hardware: Dell XPS 15 9560 4K Screen, Nvidia 1050. Drivers: Nvidia driver: 381.65 (latest) I have included my about:support page as an attachment. Note that I plan to return this laptop within the next few days so I'm unable to provide more information. This laptop is fairly common so there should be other people who can further provide more information. Repro steps: 1. Go to NVIDIA Control Panel 2. Go to 3D Settings -> Manage 3D Settings -> Program Settings 3. Under 'Select Program to Customize', select firefox.exe 4. Under 'Select the preferred graphics processor for this program', select 'High-performance NVIDIA processor' 5. Open or restart Firefox (important, only new applications starts will reflect the changes). 6. Navigate to websites with lots of scroll content, such as: http://reddit.com/ https://news.ycombinator.com/ 7. Scroll down and up relatively quickly. Actual results: Observe that there is diagonal screen tearing occur. Note that it occurs about 75% of the time, so keep trying with a few websites. You can follow the same repro steps for Chrome and Microsoft Edge to enable NVIDIA graphics for them, and notice that there is no diagonal screen tearing occuring. I have a desktop PC with an NVIDIA 750Ti, latest drivers, no diagonal screen tearing occurs. Thus, this problems seems to be somewhat hardware specific. Expected results: No diagonal screen tearing should occur.
