Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:53.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0
Build ID: 20170413192749
Steps to reproduce:
When capturing the audio (either by itself or with video) using getUserMedia on Android 7.0 on a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (I dont know if it's limited to this device type or android version), the audio gain recorded is extremely low when compared to either Chrome (on same device) or Firefox on windows.
After some testing it appears that whats happening is Firefox is only able to detect the headset microphone (or mode, not sure how that works) instead of the speakerphone.
Actual results:
Very low audio gain when capturing audio in webrtc. Inaudible unless speaker volume turned all the way up. This was also verified as a captured video file played on other devices, ruling out playback issues. It was tested using various webrtc demo implementations.
When calling MediaDevices.enumerateDevices, chrome shows 3 audio devices, whereas Firefox only shows one.
Expected results:
Audio captured to be audible and comparable to that captured by chrome or on desktop.
