Confirming issue in the Linux April 9th build under Redhat 6.2. Can't reproduce
under under OS X build so it might be just Linux issue.

WFM using 2002041103 build on WinXP.
Reassigning to peterl. Sounds like Java specific issue on Linux.

I'm using the latest JRE from Netscape, which is the one Mozilla asks me to
load. Which JRE do you want me to use, and where do I get it?

Netscape do not necessary refer to latest plugin version.
In particular for java this is definetly not the case
and because this particular problem is inside the plugin
and outside the browser then the only way to fix it is
to replace plugin.
You can get java 1.4 from
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/download.html
or you can also fetch latest 1.3.1 from java,sun.com
Please check mozilla release notes for installation hints.

Works with Mozilla 1.0rc1 and Java 1.4.0. The Java 1.3.1_02 distributed by
Netscape does not work.
