Details

Near the bottom of the Bugzilla "enter bug" page, the user is told that his build informatiopn has been autodetected. For example, today i see: Some fields initialized from your user-agent, Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.9+) Gecko/20020408. If you think it got it wrong, please tell endico@mozilla.org what it should have been. "Some fields initialized" gives the user the impression that these values will be automatically included in the bug he is filing. However, only the platform and operating system is actually initialized. Bugzilla should not be throwing the build ID away. How many times do we have to tell a bug reporter that he forgot to include his build ID? I would suggest that this build ID be put in the Description text area, but maybe you have other ideas.
