philipp noticed an increase in main/browser-process crash rate for the release channel, which chutten attributed to parent process shutdown hangs on Windows 7 (see bug 1267692 comment 22).

The increase in crash rate is not reflected in Socorro data for some reason.

I'll just track this for 54/55 for now. The other bug has a long history and this one is more clear for the current issue. It's unlikely we'll fix this for 54 since 54 release is next week, though.

Baku, any luck here or in bug 1267692? I'm not sure if there is anything actionable here.
