Details
(Keywords: platform-parity, regression)
Build: 2002-04-11-09-1.0.0(LINUX)
1. First install this build
2. Launch this build and open http://jimbob/update_linux.html
3. Click Launch XPInstall button
4. Click Install button from Software Installation dialog
RESULT:
During installing, "English(US) UI" and "US English locale" report that "Chrome
registration failed". A new browser window opens indicating that all packages
were installed "Successful". Install.log shows that Error -239
(CHROME_REGISTRY_ERROR) was reported for the English packages.
EXPECTED RESULT:
No error -239. A successful installation!
Nominating for beta. I forgot to mention that the xpi packages used for
updating are for the same build 2002-04-11-09-1.0.0(LINUX) that is installed in
step 1.
I do not understand why there is this error. Failing to succeed affects all
chrome issues...themes, locale, etc.
