From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020311 BuildID: 2002031104 Bookmarks created with "Add Bookmark" or imported from IE Favorites contain "%20" instead of spaces. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to a web page with a space in the title. 2. Create a bookmark. 3. Look at the bookmarks menu. Actual Results: Bookmark was created with "%20" replacing spaces in the name. For example, a page called "Web Monitoring" had a bookmark created called "Web%20Monitoring". If the bookmark is renamed it's okay after that. Expected Results: Created a bookmark with proper spaces from the start.

In build 2002041408 it seems to work like this: If I type in a page and bookmark it, it now works fine. If I open one of my imported IE bookmarks (which still have %20's in them), the title appears okay in the title bar, but when I bookmark it the new bookmark has %20's in it as well.

David, are you starting with a clean profile? If your bookmark list already has %20s in it, a newer build will not overwrite them.
Okay, that works. What was confusing me was that opening a page from a %20'd bookmark would 'poison' any new bookmarks made from that page. It's not obvious to me why that should be true.
