Details
Currently if you have multiple tabs open and close one, you just get put on the
next tab to the left. It would be cool to return to the tab from which you
launched the new tab if there is one (otherwise, the current behavior is fine
though).
As an example of this behavior, if you open links in new windows and close one,
the window that launched the link gets focus in IE/win32.

this is an intensively discussed feature.
anyway, I think it is a dup of bug 105722
(other bugs were marked so even if it is already a wontfix too)
