Okay, I looked for a dup of this and couldn't find it. Bug 34271 looks similar,
but this doesn't require changing font sizes. Please help me out if it isn't
new... this is blocking my usage of Bugzilla!

Windows 98, build 2002040903, try the testcase that will follow. Select the
input field, and then go to the end.

After a certain amount of characters, the rest become invisible. The change
seems to have something to do with character width, as changing the particular
characters chosen can turn this on and off. A problem in variable width fonts?
The characters are still there and show if you try to select them.

Am also seeing this bug on Linux, build 2002041218
I bet this happens when the text width overflows a signed 16-bit int...

Oh, this happens with fixed-width fonts too.
Linux 20030103.
I think the testcase works ok for me, but when I looked the source I noticed the
right-most part of the line was invisible although I could select it with the
mouse...
WFM: Using 2003020604 build on WinXP.

I agree with Boris, this is probably caused by overflowing a signed 16-bit value.
