From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.9+) Gecko/20020412 BuildID: 2002041203 The multiple-selection dropdown box for 'Location Search' does not maintain the correct 'current position'. When you click on an entry, hold down the Ctrl key, scroll down to another entry, and then click on a second entry, the current position is automatically repositioned to the first entry that was selected. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Navigate to http://jobsearch.monster.com/ 2.In the Location Search dropdown, scroll down to Texas-Austin. 3.Holding down the Ctrl key, select Texas-Austin and Texas-Dallas. 4.While still holding down the Ctrl key, scroll down to Texas-Wichita Falls. 5.Click on Texas-Wichita Falls. 6.As soon as you click on Texas-Wichita Falls, the dropdown box automatically repositions itself so that Texas-Austin is at the top of the box. Texas-Wichita Falls is not visible. 7.Scroll back down to Texas-Wichita Falls. It has been selected (highlighted); it is just that the current position of the dropdown box jumped back up to Texas-Austin when Texas-Wichital Falls was clicked. Expected Results: When Texas-Wichita Falls was clicked, the current position of the Location Search dropdown box should have remained on Texas-Wichita Falls. It should not have automaticlly 'jumped' back up to Texas-Austin. Using build 2002041203 on Win 2K I visit this site often, and I am sure that this dropdown box worked correctly using nightly builds about a week or a week and a half ago. This is a fairly recent regression.
Attachment 79203 [details] shows the Location Search dropdown as soon as Texas-Austin and Texas-Dallas were selected. (Immediately after step #3 above) Attachment 79204 [details] shows the Location Search dropdown after scrolling down to Texas-Wichita Falls. (Step #4 above) Attachment 79205 [details] shows the Location Search dropdown immediately after clicking on Texas-Wichita Falls (Step #5 above). Note that the current (visible) position in the Location Search dropdown has 'jumped back up' to Texas-Austin. It should have remained on the item just clicked (i.e., Texas-Wichita Falls). Attachment 79206 [details] shows that when we scroll back down to Texas-Wichita Falls (step #7 above), it is selected.
