This is the tracking bug for the DOM Release Notes for Mozilla 1.0 that I am compiling. They are meant to replace the outdated release notes of http://developer.netscape.com/docs/technote/gecko/n6release.html, which are still linked from the current release notes. I will post the URL here when it is available. Feel free to tell me about a bug/feature that needs to be relnoted.
Adding doc folks to cc list, for possible comments.
Fabian, what will these release notes cover? Will they be as complete as the current developer release notes at: http://developer.netscape.com/docs/technote/gecko/n6release.html
No they will not be as complete, they will only cover the DOM part of ns6release.html. I plan to have the following sections (some of which are already written) * Backwards-compatibility and standards compliance issues: issues that are not bugs, but involve backwards-compatibility to comply with the standards. The "bugs" in this list will probably never be fixed. (done) * General DOM bugs: issues about the DOM in general (e.g. DHTML performance) (done) * DOM Core Level 1 and 2 (includes XML DOM) (done) The following still have to be written: * DOM HTML Level 1 and 2 * DOM Range-Traversal * DOM Events (if I have time before 1.0) * DOM Style (includes DOM CSS and DOM StyleSheets) So yes it will be much more complete and up-to-date than what currently exists in ns6release.html. But I can only do it for the DOM, because it's the only component I've worked on.

Fabian, this is an old bug. Do you still have time for this? or can we close this bugs as wontfix?
yeah you're right I don't have time for this anymore and they require quite a lot of update. They could still be useful tho. If anyone is interested in the doc I have so far let me know.
