Details
nightly builds starting around 0.9.9 branch through this one<Mozilla/5.0 (X11;
U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:0.9.9+) Gecko/20020405> including 0.9.9 release.
Solaris *, on an Ultra10.
First time I run a new build every thing is fine.
Exit (select File-> Quit). Check , all processes stopped.
Restart mozilla.
nothing in the "Privacy & Security" preferences tree.
no "Mail & News" tree at all.
If select preferences from the mail tool,
I get the top level prefs (like Startpage and General prefs) only.
botton left of window has only browser icon.
File menu has:

-----
There is no Mail Page or Mail Link.
There is no way to access Mail&News from the browser.
There is no way to access the addressbook for browser or mail.
-----
If I start with -mail, or have the Mail on startup pref set
I can access mail, and every thing works untill close the mail window.
This happens on an unpatched Solaris. Patches are required,
read release notes, section 'System Requirements' Solaris.
But beware, our attempt to apply recommended PatchCluster 1
makes all Mozilla builds unusable, see bug #137596.

I tried the 04-15 build thius morning and it core dumps.
Played with 04-05 some more.
removing the file chrome/chrome.rdf fixes
the messed up preferences dialog. And the other menus
are back, like File->Send->Page...
All the componenbts are back too.
If I quit and restart, it's broke again, unless I delet
the chrome.rdf file.
Is the possibly a bug in the Classic skin?

Tried a few other skins, modern, wood and pinball.
All do the same.
menus hosed if I start with old chrome/chrome.rdf
(in the mozilla install dir, the one in the profile
dir doesn't matter) If it delete it then start mozilla
everything is fine

Any one know why? Anyone working on this?
Why doesn't it affect other *nix builds?
