If you go to http://www.wellsfargo.com/ or www.vanguard.com and try to log in you
get a popup with message "error trying to validate certificate... error code 8073"
Both of these sites can be loged onto using explorer.
I am also running Mozilla under Windows 2000 and noticed this bug after
upgrading to version 0.9.9. The problem has occurred for me on every site using
SSL and not only the two sites listed above. This is a rather critical bug, just
wanted to confirm.
xero52 over in #mozillazine was seeing this too....

I am using Linux and here the error message is a bit different:
Error trying to validate certificate from foo.bar.com using OSCP - corrupt or
unknown response: error code: -8073

Moreover not all https sites show that error, e.g.
https://brokerage-h2.consors.de/
works, whereas
https://archive.consors-ag.de/hilfeundservice/onlinearchiv/index.html
shows the error above.

The workaround is to turn off OCSP. Edit>Prefs>Privacy>Validation> Do not
use OCSP. Marking dupe of bug 130885
