My comment in the mockup attached in Bug 1376826 reads: The search bar should show Elasticsearch results in a drop down list. The results can be enhanced in many ways, e.g. including matched keywords, components, or showing quick search tips, saved searches and recent searches when no search terms are entered. Support autocomplete as well.
