The present keyboard shortcut to change between Navigator windows is Cmd-1.
However, "1" is very close to "q". Pressing Cmd-q will quit Mozilla (standard
for any app on a Mac). So I'm requesting that Cmd-1 be changed, as it is very
easy to hit Cmd-q instead.
we can't afford to do this. if you're frequently accidentally hitting the
wrong keys, something else will mess you up anyways.
we're better off providing you with a confirm dialog for quiting.
if we do what you're asking, we'll end up with ~12 keys available on the
alpha-keyboard instead of ~40.
I understand. Could a way be set up so I can re-map the keys? If not for the
whole keyboard, at least for the 5 listed under the "Task" menu? For example, I
don't use "IRC Chat" all that much, so I could re-map the Navigator shortcut to
Cmd-3, and vice-versa. Just a request.
Thanks.
there's a bug somewhere asking for keyboard customizability. unfortunately it's
not coming any time soon. in the interim, if you're willing to customize a jar
file (basically a zip) it's not hard to change the numbers (it's just annoying
to maintain the change)

Ramesh, you can redefine some keys - see this helps:

There's a bug somewhere requesting a confirm dialog for quit. I agree with
timeless, that's the right way to fix this. This bug can be marked WONTFIX if we
find that bug -- I haven't been able to.
Bug 39057 is the bug with the return dialog for quit suggestion, so marking
WONTFIX per Aaron's suggestion.
