See bug 1363995, comment 2 and bug 1363995, comment 9. We decided to defer this for now, but we'll want to revisit this logic once we have new fields that we need to sync.
Same for `findDuplicateGUID` and `mergeIfPossible`, especially when we start storing records with higher versions locally.
