Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:54.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/54.0
Build ID: 20170628075643
Steps to reproduce:
I tried to develop a webextension with a background script that reacts to media key events.
As stated in the commands reference page there are commands defined for media key support such as playpause / next / previous etc.
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/manifest.json/commands#Media_keys
As stated on this site:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/Chrome_incompatibilities#commands
Media Keys are not supported for commands.
Within a common content-script media keys can be handled by a normal keyboard event.
Actual results:
The media keys did not fire any command events.
Expected results:
The media keys should be accessible via manifest commands.
