This one may not be a bug in Firefox, just my implementation of native messaging host, filed for tracking. In bug 1351165, we'll open known incompatible urls in an IE window with OLE automation once user clicks a button, but with the `put_Visible(VARIANT_TRUE)` call in the native messaging host, the opened IE window stays in the background, with the taskbar icon flashing for attention.
We're not going to do anything in WebExtensions for this. Feel free to re-open in a different component if appropriate.
