[Affected platforms]:
Ubuntu 16.04 64bit.

[Steps to reproduce]:
1. Launch Firefox with a clean profile.
2. Access the https://9gag.com/gag/am29MAj  weblink.
3. Drag the image to desktop.

[Expected result]:
The image is successfully downloaded to the desktop.

[Actual result]:
An “unknown link” file is created.

[Regression range]:
This doesn’t seems to be a regression.

[Additional notes]
Please note that an “Could not display” error is displayed when trying to open the created file.

On MacOS, a file is created without an extension. Manually adding the relevant extension (.jpg in the case of the 9gag image you referenced) makes the file usable. Interesting that a link is created on linux. I'll see if I can investigate this soon.
