The messagesQuotes.css for OSX only colors quotes 3 levels deep. As discussed in bug 1374708 this should be aligned with Windows and Linux to 5 levels.

Stefan, shouldn't we probably use the same colors as in Windows? I checked out the original patch for Bug 1374708 in OSX Sierra and not sure why this wouldn't work? The Windows colors would imho look ok or is there a reason why only predefined colors where used?

I guess the colors are there because someone thought they'd fit on Mac. Note btw that Apple's Mail program only have 3 levels, that could also be the reason to have only 3 levels in TB/SM.
I'll keep the needinfo since I need to think a bit more about this.
