Details
With Communicator 4.7, it was possible to specify filters when searching in a
directory (with autocomplete or in "address book" window), for example to get
only addresses where name (sn) begins with the word I typed.
The syntax in "prefs.js" was :
user_pref("ldap_2.servers.mydirectory.filter1.string","(sn=%s*)");
user_pref("ldap_2.servers.mydirectory.autoComplete.filter","(sn=%1*)");
It doesn't work with Mozilla.
It would be a good idea, don't you think so ?
Best regards
Dominique

you can set the filter by setting this pref.
ldap_2.servers.mydirectory.autoComplete.filterTemplate
closing this bug as invalid.

The pref. "ldap_2.servers.mydirectory.autoComplete.filterTemplate" only applies
on autocomplete search.
It have no effect in the "address book" window.
Is there another parameter for the searches in the "address book" windows ?

bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
