This was sparked from a few questions: One specifically: https://www.facebook.com/Firefox/posts/10159095749830022 It asks why Firefox only is offered 720 for fast internet connections when streaming netflix on Windows 7. Tested on Windows 7 32bit and Firefox 64bit and the highest offering, even paying for the HD service it never goes up tot the 1080p in the office environments with 300 Mbps. Previous issues: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1280141 Netflix documentation on the issue: https://help.netflix.com/en/node/23742

Firefox on Windows doesn't meet Netflix's DRM robustness requirements for 1080p. Amazon Prime Video however has a different policy, and a lot of its content is streamed to Firefox in 1080p. I don't think any evangelism we do here will be effective at influencing Netflix to change their policy, so I'm going to go ahead and close this bug.
