Activity Stream is going to ship as part of a Shield experiment for your language in Firefox 56. 

Activity Stream will include a localized list of 6 Top Sites. 

The list of top sites per locales is sourced from Alexa 500 (http://www.alexa.com/topsites), excluding search engines (http://www.alexa.com/topsites/category/Computers/Internet/Searching/Search_Engines) and web portals (http://www.alexa.com/topsites/category/Computers/Internet/On_the_Web/Web_Portals). 

This is the list for your language:

YouTube.com
Facebook.com
Amazon.de
Ebay.de
Wikipedia.org
Web.de

These are two websites right out of the top 6, in case we need to remove one of them:

Reddit.com
Twitter.com

The question for you is: do you see any website in the top list that should be excluded, or does this list look good? In case, can you explain why it wouldn't be OK to ship this website in Firefox? 

Deadline for this review is pretty short: August 2.

I suppose Wikipedia would link to the German Wikipedia, right?

Also, I'm not sure about web.de, I would say this could be counted as "web portal".

As someone who rarely visits any of these pages apart from Wikipedia, I’m probably the wrong person to answer this, but for what it’s worth, the list looks fine to me.

1. Because web portals get excluded, Web.de should not be used.

2. To follow up on Web.de, the data doesn't seem reliable. Web.de was a big player 15 years ago (early bird regarding freemail in Germany) and then got bought by United Internet those subsidiary GMX.net was more well maintained over a bunch of years and also gets TV ads, but is behind web.de in that list.

These are for new profiles, so after the users has visited sites, will they disappear and get replaced by sites visited?

OK. (According to http://www.alexa.com/topsites/countries/DE , only 12.7% of visits are from external links, still hard to believe.)

OK. 21 million daily active users according to https://allfacebook.de/zahlen_fakten/offiziell-facebook-nutzerzahlen-deutschland

OK. http://blog.wiwo.de/look-at-it/2016/05/18/amazon-in-deutschland-44-millionen-kunden-davon-17-millionen-nutzer-von-prime/ claims 85% of people in Germany who shop online also shop at Amazon. Amazon Prime has 17 million users (and access to videos via Amazon Prime).

OK. Data on visitors is hard to get, but number of orders are around a third compared to Amazon according to https://www.shopanbieter.de/news/archives/10967-marktplatzreport-der-grosse-umsatzvergleich-zwischen-amazon-und-ebay.html

OK. I doubt that there are more visitors on ebay than on wikipedia (or page impressions). 79% of German internet users use Wikipedia https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutschsprachige_Wikipedia#Nutzung_in_Deutschland , that's > 45 million.

They claimed 12 million visitors last year (top level?), nothing on https://twitter.com/ when visited with a German browser (no login request) has more than 1000 likes. From my experience (yes, sorry), most registered German users are either tech centric, like to rant, or celebrities.

3. The list lacks diversity, e.g. for common tasks like checking news and weather. E.g. the tabloid bild.de has 12 million visitors daily: https://www.dwdl.de/zahlenzentrale/62320/sz_wieder_vor_der_faz_upday_wchst_weiter_stark/ (adding them would be controversial because they polarize).

What does "German Wikipedia" mean? If I load https://www.wikipedia.org/ from an en-US Firefox and de Firefox, I get an appropriately localized page. It's not https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page nor https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Hauptseite but the top level landing page is probably safer a new person to visit than the busier "Main page"

I saw on GitHub (https://github.com/mozilla/activity-stream/issues/2774#issuecomment-319582070) that now reddit is used...
I guess that the comment from Sebastian Hengst didn't meant, that reddit is a better choice... ;-)
But I can life with it...
