I experienced weird error messages, when my /home-partition ran out of disk space. Instead of alerting "Out of disk space" or something similar, I got "$URI not found" - alerts ($URI is the real URI not "$URI"...) I guess it's a problem with the disc cache - it seems that cached pages a loaded ok.

Yes... To reduce clutter, fragmentation etc. I have my browser caches, downloads and other temp files on a small (2GB) dedicated disk partition. Occasionally the partition fills inveriably causing errors similar to the one described in this bug, the navigation wierdness described in bug 158278 (dupe?), screen redraw is abandoned on both the toolbars and document although buttons are refreshed by mouse rollover, general browser stability goes into freefall... This bug is clearly caused by Mozilla running out of cache space. Surely it shouldn't have such a catastrophic effect on the whole application? Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130
