Filing a bug with the necessary whiteboard tag so the HTTPS Everywhere entry on https://arewewebextensionsyet.com/ has something to link to.

Upstream tracking issues are here:
https://github.com/EFForg/https-everywhere/issues/11805
https://github.com/EFForg/https-everywhere/issues/9958

Bill - please could you mark any platform web extension feature requests or bugs that are blocking the roll-out of the web extension as dependants of this bug.

Many thanks!
For people using Nightly and looking for a short-term solution, test web extension builds are available here:
https://www.eff.org/files/https-everywhere-test/index.html
Thanks for the update Ed :)

Marked as P4 only so it isn't flagged for triage - since this is a tracking bug. But this is a top popularity add-on :).
Priority: -- → P4
Whiteboard: [awe:https-everywhere@eff.org] → [awe:https-everywhere@eff.org], triaged
Since the above, they have updated https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere to say:

If you are using Firefox Nightly, you'll have to install from our developer (fully WebExtensions) channel, available here (https://www.eff.org/files/https-everywhere-test/https-everywhere-latest.xpi) (signature: https://www.eff.org/files/https-everywhere-test/https-everywhere-latest.xpi.sig).
We are WebExtensions as of yesterday:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/https-everywhere/
Great news, thanks for the update William.

Ed, can you update https://arewewebextensionsyet.com/? It still shows HTTPS Everywhere as not supporting WebExtensions.
Hi! I don't really know how that site works, I'd file an issue here:
https://github.com/andymckay/arewewebextensionsyet.com/issues
Product: Toolkit → WebExtensions
