I've just visited about:addons and saw a suggestion to "Stop sneaky trackers" with Privacy Badger. The slider is off and turning it on causes an install permission prompt to appear.
However, I already have Privacy Badger installed. IIRC, I had installed the selfhosted version from https://www.eff.org/privacybadger since at the time, it wasn't available on AMO, but I'm not sure. In this case I shouldn't have been prompted to (re?)install Privacy Badger.
I'm on a Nightly built 2017-08-26, Mac OS X.

I assume you're talking about the "discovery pane" (what's visible when "Get Add-ons" is selected on the left). That page by design shows a fixed set of addons. In any case, if you want to discuss this further, the discovery pane is part of addons.mozilla.org (AMO), the proper place to file bugs on it is:
