I'm finding that images will have a moderately wide white vertical bar through
the whole image.  The bar goes away if another window is opened on top then
either closed or moved out of the way.  It also disappears if the page is
scrolled to select text around the image.  So far, it has not disappeared if the
page is reloaded.  

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load a page that contains images.
2. Review images to see if they contain the vertical bar.


Actual Results:  On occasion, images would appear with vertical bar through image.

Expected Results:  Image would be displayed without the bar.

is this related to bug 83289? though that was supposedly fixed before the build
date described by this reporter

Judging from your description this is a duplicate of bug 137295 (have a look at 
the screenshots on that bug - they have white (or more accurately background 
colour) vertical gaps in them, as per your description.

The good news is that 137295 was fixed yesterday.
