Steps to reproduce:

Currently ColorfulTabs is an XUL extension. It needs to be converted into a webextension especially with support for domain based tab styling. REF: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1320585

If there's any other bugs you need, please attach to this bug, otherwise when bug 1320585 we'll assume it can be done and look to close.

Seems Tree Style Tabs extension successfully implement WebExtensions version via sidebar. Before #1320585 is not solved - maybe you can add support for colorizing TreeStyleTabs tabs via new ColorfulTabs webextension?

While it makes the addon work as a web-extension, it's just a workaround for the issue: now you have duplicated the functionality of the tab area into a widget that just occupies more screen-real-estate for redundant functionality.

With missing ColorfulTabs extension I ended up with creating a new own extension https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tst-colored-tabs/ that works in conjunction with https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tree-style-tab/
