We have a button (at least for custom tabs) that allows opening the current page in a full browser, however I think currently this simply fires off a generic URL open intent.
We should think about a closer integration with our full UI here and instead move the <browser> that's powering the custom tab into the BrowserApp Gecko "window" (like what happens on Desktop when you move tabs between windows) and wrap it into a new tab object, so as to preserve the full state of the page.

Yeah, this should be pretty doable and IMHO should be one of the main priorities for Custom Tabs after the initial features.
