139899 - Importing Netscape 4.7x version mail address (List) got duplicated mail address

Install the Mozilla, and Mozilla Mail will automatically import my Netscape 4.7x
mailing address. When I check my address book, the mailing list I have created
in Netscape (for example, mailing list name: "school" has only three email
addresses.)   has multipal same email address names. The same mailing list
duplicated the same three emails 4 times, which I ended up with 15 email
addresses total. 
Another problem:
I can't do a batch delete for the mailing list. I have delete one by one. After
I tried to deleted all the dup email addresses, I click on "Ok" button. Nothing
happen, the UI just stunk there. Only thing I can do is click "Cancel". I was
able to delete half of the duped email addresses, but when I tried to detele the
rest of the dup email addresses, the MozillaMail-Address doesn't save the
changes at all.

I was able duplicate this behavior independent of a Netscape install in  RC1
Gecko/20020417.  I use Mozilla exclusively with only a few address book entries.  

I manually created a list of 21 addresses (including my own), closed it and
saved it.  I immediately sent a message to the list.  I received my copy message
of the message and attempted to open it.  Mozilla crashed hard.  

I opened the message in pine from a shell account and discovered that there were
652 receipients (31 * 21) specified.  

I restarted Mozilla and opened the list card. It then had 652 receipients with
pages of duplicate addresses.  

Selecting the list and clicking delete had no effect but I was able to delete
the receipients.

Automatic import of Netscape addressbook is being worked on (bug 35509). Marking
duplicate.

Manually exporting address book from 4.x to LDIF format and importing it into
Mozilla works without problems (no duplicate addressbook entries) with Mozilla
1.4/1.5 on Solaris/WinXP/Win2000.

Regarding comment #2, it WFM with Mozilla 1.5 on Solaris/WinXP/Win2000.
