Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0
Build ID: 20170824053622
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a new Private Tab
2. Browse to any page
3. Right-click anywhere on page and select "Inspect element"
4. Click "Responsive Design Mode"
5. Firefox window crashes
Actual results:
The window becomes white and totally unresponsive - impossible to close the tab, or switch to another tab. I have to close the entire window, or kill the process.
Expected results:
The Responsive Design Mode should be executed in the same way as if I wouldn't use Private Tab

Hi. I can't reproduce this issue on Arch. I tried 55.0.3 and Nightly. So this may be platform specific?
Have you got any addons installed? Can you reproduce the problem if you run firefox in safe mode?

In steps to reproduce, you say Firefox crashes. Do you get the crash reporter? If so, could you please post a crash report id? But if the browser is just hanging, you can force it browser to crash, which should generate a crash report. The instructions are here:

I could not reproduce either. I tested on FF55 and FF57 both on Windows 10.

Component: Untriaged → Developer Tools: Responsive Design Mode
Also, do you see any errors in the Browser Console when this happens?

I would really like to find the root cause of this issue, but the reporter doesn't seem to reply. This is a tricky issue, so I imagine it may a require some back and forth diagnostics to work out.
Please re-open if I have made a mistake.
